The mechanical briquetting machine is a type of biomass briquetting machine which normally used to make rob biofuel briquette.

By turning the bio waste into briquette, we increased the value of dust biomass/saw dust, making them easier to store, transport, and reduce burn losses, which not only a protection for the environment, but also allows us to create extra business value.

Working Principle

When the machine starts, the main motor drives the flywheel through the V-belt to rotate the crankshaft. The crankshaft rotates to drive the connecting rod and piston which makes the punch reciprocate.

After the biomass waste is added, it is sucked into the pre-compression chamber of the punch sleeve by the pre-compression structure of the raw material or by the vacuum suction generated between the punch sleeve and the downward movement of the punch and the ram. When the ram moves up, the biomass can be squeezed into the cone of the forming cavity. As the diameter of the inner wall of the forming cone gradually reduces, the biomass is finally extruded into a rod shape briquette.

The conveyor is used in the transporting step to take the raw material to the next step. Different conveyors can be used in these sections like belt conveyor, screw conveyor, etc.


Those size-too-big materials should be crushed before the briquetting step. The crushed materials will help to improve the quality of the finished briquette as well as protecting the briquetting machine to get a longer service life.


For some high moisture materials, drying would help to reduce the moisture, and a dryer is a machine to make this step much quicker in a short time.
